Students will learn about drugs, what they do to body functions (Pharmacodynamics) and what the body does to them (pharmacokinetics). Pharmacology also explains why a person may experience side effects when they take drugs and why there is such a wide spectrum of differences between drug actions in different people. Students are taught about risk-benefit ratio of every systemic drug classes. This knowledge will enhance the skill of students to make better decision in clinical practice.
